Zifang Lake is also called "Pinghu". It was named after Zhang Liang (zifang) retired here in the Han Dynasty. The lake is more than 70 meters deep and about 4 kilometers long. The green mountains on both sides of the strait face each other, and there is a strip of green water. The green mountains and the dark green water are nestled together, presenting a magnificent and turbulent scene. At noon, it is like a huge mirror, reflecting the direct sunlight, making people dazzled. At the northern end of the lake, there is a mountain peak that resembles a giant Buddha. The whole giant Buddha not only has a lifelike face, drooping ears, folded hands, and legs sitting cross-legged, but also has a lotus-shaped hill under its seat. In the morning and evening, when the rays of the sun shine, the whole body of the Buddha is radiant, with clear outline and lifelike image.
