The Pala Manor is the manor of the Pala family, a large Tibetan family. The full name is Pajue Lakang. It is located in Banjue Lunbu Village in the southwest of Gyangze County, so it is also called Banjue Lunbu Manor. It is one of the 12 manors in old Tibet, and it is also a well-preserved manor of old Tibetan lords in Tibet.
The main building of Pala Manor is three stories high, which is quite spectacular. There are 57 existing houses with complete building facilities and exquisite decoration. It has scripture hall, sun room, meeting room (upper reception room), and bedroom. The carved beams and painted buildings in the room are magnificent. The scripture hall is well-furnished, and the scriptures and Buddhist niches are well preserved.
In addition, there are breweries, mills, and serf stoves in Pala Manor. There are leather whips, shackles, standing cages, cowhide cylinders and other instruments of torture displayed in the corridors, and even the old prisons are preserved. All these vividly reproduced the luxurious life of the serf owners and the exploitation of the serfs.
