The Phoenix Mountain Revolutionary Site is located at the foot of Phoenix Mountain in Baota District, Yan'an City. It is the former residence of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
During this period, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held many important meetings such as the Politburo meeting, the Party's National Representative Conference, the Luochuan Conference, and the Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee, and made major decisions such as the strategic shift from the Agrarian Revolutionary War to the Anti-Japanese War.
The courtyard to the north of the former revolutionary site of Fenghuang Mountain is divided into front and rear courtyards. There are three-hole stone cave dwellings in the backyard. "On Practice", "On Contradiction", "On Protracted War" and "Against Liberalism" were all born here.

Until November 20, 1938, the Japanese invading army planes bombed Yan'an for the first time, and the old city of Yan'an was severely damaged. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China moved to the former revolutionary site of Yangjialing in the northwest of Yan'an City.
