Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort is located in the southeastern suburb of Yakeshi City, 16 kilometers away from the urban area, and is a national 2A-level tourist attraction. The Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort has a large scale, a long snow season, a complete range of ski trails, and a wealth of snow projects. There are 4 primary, intermediate and advanced ski ropeways in the ski resort, with a total length of 5,800 meters.

Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort has been listed as the reserve talent base of the National Bayi Ski Team and the cross-country skiing training base of the National Paralympic Team. In 2005 and 2006, the National Youth Cross-country Skiing Championship was held here, and at the same time, it also hosted three consecutive Hulunbeier China Snow Festivals and the 2006 Silver Hulunbuir Yakeshi Phoenix Mountain Ski Festival and "Xin Dazhou" Cup China, Russia and Mongolia Skiing Invitational.
