Pingding Guanshan Forest ParkIntegrating natural landscapes, historic sites and cultural origins, it is located 4 kilometers southwest of Pingding County and is one of the scenic spots in eastern Shanxi. The main peak of Guanshan looks like a crown, hence the name.

Guanshan has beautiful scenery, where Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism are integrated in one mountain. The Chonggu Guanshan Academy founded in the Yuan Dynasty is especially famous for its Confucian culture. Lu Encheng, the Zhongshu Zuocheng in the Yuan Dynasty, and Qiao Yu, the Minister of the Ministry of War in the Ming Dynasty, both studied here. Fu Shan, a medical calligrapher and painter in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, also lived in seclusion in Guanshan Forest Park in Pingding. The modern female writer Shi Pingmei studied here since she was a child, and created the novel "Red Maned Horse" with Guanshan as the background.

On the mountain, there are quite a lot of stone inscriptions in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, reaching more than 30 places. The main building of Zifu Temple Pingding Guanshan Forest Park was founded in the Jin Dynasty, and there are many inscriptions in the temple from past dynasties. There are Tuanlong Zhaobi, Huaiyin Academy Ruins, Chonggu Academy, Banzhou Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion, Sarcophagus, Luzu Cave, Wenchang Pavilion, Zizhi Cave Ruins, etc.
