Baoen Temple, the full name of Chixiu Baoen Temple, is located in Pingwu County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, 184 kilometers away from Mianyang City. It is the best-preserved Ming Dynasty palace-style Buddhist temple complex in China. Baoen Temple was presided over by Wang Xi, father and son of Wang Jian, the hereditary native official of Xuanfu Division of Longzhou in Ming Dynasty, and Wang Jian, father and son, presided over the construction. The temple sits west to east, covers an area of ​​27,800 square meters, and has a construction area of ​​3,500 square meters. The 300-meter-long central axis is arranged symmetrically. Because it completely imitates the layout design of the Forbidden City in Beijing, it is known as the "Palace in the Deep Mountain". The whole temple is a palace-style building of nanmu structure, with a large scale, harmonious layout and rich architectural features. It is praised by Chinese and foreign architectural experts as "a rare relic in the early Ming Dynasty". The architectural sculptures and paintings are exquisite, the Buddha statues are beautiful and vivid, and the paintings and wall sculptures are rich in content. The Avalokitesvara with Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes carved from a whole nanmu tree in the Great Compassion Hall, the Sutras of the Wheel in the Huayan Collection, the clay sculptures of dragons, and the painted murals all over the temple are all rare art treasures in the world.
