Zijinshan Observatory Qinghai Station was built in the early 1980s. It is located next to Baigong Mountain in Delingha, with an altitude of 3,200 meters. It is also known as the Delingha Astronomical Observation Base. Qinghai Station has an astronomical telescope with a diameter of 13.7 meters here, which is the first millimeter-wave observation station in China. With its high terrain and good air transparency, Delingha is one of the ideal astronomical observation spots in Asia.
