Zijin Mountain Scenic Tourist Area is located in Xingtai County at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, 66 kilometers away from Xingtai City. Zijin Mountain is above 1,300 meters above sea level on average, and its peak, Motian Ridge, is 1,747.5 meters above sea level. The scenic spot covers an area of 28 square kilometers, the forest coverage rate in the area is over 90%, and the vegetation coverage rate is close to 100%. Wild animals such as tits, pheasants, rock pigeons, magpies, and red-billed crows are active all year round. Zijin Mountain rises from the middle of the 800-mile Taihang Mountain Ridge, emitting an otherworldly aura. The mountain runs east-west, and the rocks are mostly purple. It belongs to the type of "zhangshiyan landform" in which the red quartz sandstone of the Changcheng system in the middle section of Taihang Mountains developed to the "young period". There are waterfalls and pools on the cliffs or cliff sills, forming a characteristic landscape of a large water body in Zijin Mountain. The rare "patio urn" in the country, Han Xiangzi's ancient house "Hanxianzhuang", "Qixingtan" with waterfalls and rocks, "Bengxianchi" and "Water slide" are the Banshan community with peaks on the side of the ridge. As well as "Xiantao Mountain", "Camel Peak", "Straw Hat Mountain", "Tortoise and the Hare", etc., they are in different shapes and form an interesting contrast. The thousand-year-old "Holy Water Cave" is connected to the Wu'an Changshou Spring, drinking it to increase life. Zijin Mountain, which integrates Xiufeng, Liling, Yougu, Yongquan, Feifall, Qixia, Weizhi, Kengpen and Tanba, carries a unique and profound history and culture, red culture and folk culture. The "Zijin Academy", known as the "Tsinghua University" in ancient China, was built on this mountain 700 years ago. It was named after the Zijin Mountain located in the west of Xingzhou (now Xingtai City). It is said in history books that "only Fenglong Academy and Zijinshan Academy (in the west of Xingtai) have unique characteristics." Zijinshan Academy is one of the important birthplaces of mathematics, astronomy and calendar in my country. It has cultivated a group of outstanding talents who have made great achievements in the field of science and culture in my country and occupy an important position. It is known as "Xingzhou School" and "Five Masters of Zijin Mountain" in history. Guo Shoujing strode out from the Zijin Mountain that nourished him and created more than ten scientific and technological achievements. UNESCO named a ringed mountain on the back of the moon and a planet code-named 2012 in the solar system after Guo Shoujing. Guo Shoujing culture has become a landmark culture of Xingtai Zijin Mountain. The cultural resources of Guo Shoujing, which Zijin Mountain is sitting on, have become the superior resources of the country and even the whole country. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Supply Department of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army and the Bank of Southern Hebei hidden themselves in this mountain, and the mysterious caves in the dense forest of the mountain still retain the glorious footprints of the ancestors who conquered the world.
