introduce

"Puzhehei" is a Yi language, meaning "a pond full of fish and shrimp". It is well-known because it was filmed here in Hunan Satellite TV's parent-child program "Where Are We Going, Dad" in 2013.

Puzhehei is now divided into two major areas, the core scenic spot (the old scenic spot) and the peripheral scenic spot (the new scenic spot). Minority villages such as Hei Village and Xianrendong Village are also here. The periphery includes Swan Lake, wetlands, etc. Generally, tourists mainly visit the core scenic spots.

Karst caves are undoubtedly a major attraction of Puzhehei. At present, there are Moon Cave, Torch Cave, Guanyin Cave and Xianren Cave that are open. There are not only various stalactites in the caves, but also many myths and legends. June to September is the golden season for Puzhehei tourism, when the lotus is in full bloom, you can take a boat to experience the fun of water fights. However, in the off-season of tourism, you can take a camera and wander among the countryside and villages, taking pictures of the original landscape and pastoral scenery, or taking a literary photo as a souvenir.

must see tips

1. When you come to Puzhehei in summer, the happiest thing is to have a water fight. Don't forget to bring spare clothing and sunscreen, and if you like photography, it's best to prepare a waterproof cover for your camera.
2. When eating with locals, the other party will usually offer a toast to express their welcome. Just have a drink. It is impolite to directly refuse the toast. If you really don't drink alcohol, it's best to say so in advance.
3. Those who sell real handmade crafts are generally local people over 60 years old, and those crafts that look beautiful are basically wholesale goods.
4. The local food is salty and spicy. Friends who like light food may not be used to it, but you might as well try it. Chili is also one of Qiubei's specialties.
5. If you come here during the Torch Festival (around June in the lunar calendar) and the Painted Face Festival (around February in the lunar calendar), you can experience a carnival. On the night of the Torch Festival, many people will parade through the streets with torches, and they can also watch folk song and dance performances. The purpose of the Painted Face Festival is to "smear the whole body and live happily ever after". There will be a bonfire party that night, and the bonfire will be burned, and then the remaining charcoal ashes will be used to smear other people's faces. The blacker you are, the more popular you are, very joy.
