Qiliang Cave is located about 5 kilometers north of the ancient city of Fenghuang. There is a local saying that "you don't see the cave when you return from Qiliang". There are mountains in Qiliang Cave, buildings in the cave, cliffs, fields, villages, etc. About 6 kilometers, the entrance of the cave is huge, about 50 meters high, and a clear stream passes through the cave.
There is also an "ancient battlefield" in Qiliang Cave. According to legend, at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, the overwhelmed Miao people conspired to rebel here and had many fierce battles with the imperial army. Later, due to the traitor's informant, the rebel army was completely wiped out due to being outnumbered. Today, not far from the entrance of the cave, tourists can see the ruins of the Luoma River where the rebels threw huge stones at the horses, and the ancient millhouse where people ate.
After passing the "Ancient Battlefield", you will come to a small stream, where you need to take a boat. After getting off the boat, you will be another scenic spot "Dragon Palace" in Qiliang Cave. In the Dragon Palace, the strange rocks are jagged and colorful under the effect of colorful lights. When you are boating in this beautiful scene, you will have a feeling of entering a dream.
After swimming through the "Dragon Palace", you will come to the "Paradise" and "Ten Mile Gallery" in the cave as you circle up the steps. In the Shili Gallery, there are towering ancient trees and a "Southwest Jungle" surrounded by thorns. What's even more amazing is that there is a green field here. The Yinyang River in the cave is the mysterious part of the whole cave. On the high cave roof there are bats representing darkness. Behind the water curtain by the river is the place where the former King Miao imprisoned prisoners. Occasionally, the sound of a bat or two makes people feel creepy and shuddering.
