Qilin Water Village is a key demonstration project for the integrated development of agriculture, tourism and culture in Qilin District. The project is located in Yanjiang Street, Qilin District, with a planned total area of about 8,700 mu. The project was selected into the list of national excellent tourism projects selected by the National Tourism Administration in May 2016. It is one of the 747 excellent tourism projects in the country; 2017) major construction projects in the action plan; it was selected into the list of 30 key tourism and cultural projects in Yunnan Province in 2017. The scenic spot is nestled against the Nanpan River, rich in water resources, and has been known as the "Land of Fish and Rice" since ancient times. As the main body of scenic spot development, Qilin District Agricultural Tourism Development and Investment Co., Ltd., under the care and guidance of the municipal and district governments, makes every effort to build a plateau in accordance with the principles of "integration of nature and humanities, integration of commerce and leisure, and equal emphasis on economy and ecology". A demonstration site for the integration of agriculture, tourism and culture in water towns and a demonstration area for the integrated development of scenic villages. The scenic spot will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, an investment of 140 million yuan will be completed. Seaplane waterways, ecological revetments, thousand acres of lotus ponds, lotus plank roads, battery lanes, slow walking trails, water forests, rest pavilions, and sightseeing areas will be built.Viewing platform, ecological public toilet, tourism identification system, etc. There are seaplanes, kayaking, water forest maze, bicycles and other experience projects in the scenic area.
