Qin Zhidao, commonly known as "Huangshang Road" and "Sages Road" in northern Shaanxi, is an important military route ordered by Qin Shihuang from 212 BC to 210 BC to be supervised by Meng Tian. Qin Zhidao starts in the south from Yunyang Linguang Palace (now Liangwudi Village, Chunhua County), an important military site in Xianyang, Kyoto, in the south, and ends in Jiuyuan County (now Mengjiawan Village, southwest of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia) in the north, passing through 14 counties, covering a distance of more than 700 kilometers. The road is generally 20 meters wide.

After Qin Shihuang annexed the six countries and unified China, in addition to other political achievements, he also did two major events that attracted worldwide attention: one was the construction of the Great Wall; the other was the construction of an ancient "highway" - Qin Zhidao. Historical records such as "Historical Records" and "Hanshu" have recorded Qin Zhidao. Its engineering is arduous and magnificent, and it can be called a miracle of highway engineering in the world. This straight road passes through the entire Ordos area, thus connecting Jingwei and the frontier defense. Once the border affairs are urgent, the army can go directly to the border of Serbia from Xianyang, Kyoto. This was a major traffic route linking the Central Plains and the North at that time, and it played a very important role in promoting economic and cultural ties between the frontier defense and the interior.

Today's Qin Zhi Road has gone through 2000 years of wind and rain, most of the road surface is still basically preserved, and some complete Qin Zhi Road has been listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province. Qinzhi Road runs through the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi, goes northward along the east side of Ziwuling, crosses four counties in Yan'an, and then extends northeastward to Baotou City, Inner Mongolia.
