Qingfeng Building was originally located in front of the government office and was a part of the government office. It is unknown when the Qingfeng Tower was first built. According to the "Shunde Mansion Records", the Qingfeng Tower was "built in the Tang and Song Dynasties" and was destroyed due to wars and other reasons. In the third year of Chenghua reign of Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty (1467 A.D.), Li Guangheng, the magistrate of Xingtai, spared no expense in rebuilding it. The reconstructed Qingfeng Building has a typical architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. It is a Xieshan-style structure with double eaves. The height of the building is more than 7 Zhang.

Qingfeng Building is divided into three floors. The first floor is built with bricks and stones, and there is an arched door in the middle. The door can be opened to both traffic and pedestrians. It is also a good place to cool off in summer. The second floor is surrounded by blue bricks to form flower fences, with the main hall in the middle, and the front and back doors are opposite. On the wall in the southwest corner of the hall are inlaid a group of stone carvings of poems and paintings of the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. It is said that they were made by Wang Wei, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty, and have certain historical and artistic value. It's a pity that the spring scenery is lost, and now there are only three pieces in summer, autumn and winter. In addition, ten stone inscriptions of Qingfenglou are stored indoors. The third floor is a wooden structure, with doors open on all sides. There is a huge plaque under the eaves, with three big characters "Qingfenglou" written on it. There are row upon row of shops, Taihang Mountains with green daisies, and a panoramic view of Xingzhou, so it is called "the county building overlooks", and it is one of the "Eight Views of Xingtai" in the old days.
