Qingliang Grottoes is located in Xiaohe Town, Jingbian County. It is called Jiulongkou because there are nine mountain ranges attached to it like nine giant dragons in the distance. According to the inscriptions left over from the Qingliang Grottoes, the temple was built in the reign of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty, about 1,500 years ago, and is the oldest cultural sanctuary in Jingbian.
