Qinglong Bridge is located on the Lancang River 60 kilometers northeast of Fengqing County. The bridge body is composed of 16 iron cables, with 5 bridge pavilions at each end, and several cliff inscriptions on the bank. Qinglong Bridge is the throat fortress of the Ancient Tea Horse Road and the only ancient bridge on the Lancang River.
There are bridge pavilions on both banks of the Qinglong Bridge, with blue tiles and white walls, cornices and corners, which are spectacular in shape. The corridor can be used for pedestrians to rest and shelter from the rain and lean on the railing to overlook the scenery of the Lancang River; the building can be used for soldiers to stay and watch. But the post roads on both sides of the strait are connected, and the gates of the buildings are closed at dusk and opened in the morning. On the stone walls at both ends are carved couplets of many literati's poems. Among them, the most eye-catching is the couplet that has been repainted with vermilion lacquer over and over again by later generations: "The pen sweeps thousands of troops, and the inscription on the bridge has long shamed Sima." "Putting out eight formations, rowing stones is still a crouching dragon." The whole couplet is neat and rigorous. sui generis.
Fengqing Qinglong Bridge is the throat fortress of the famous Tea Horse Ancient Road in the history of Chinese transportation. For more than 200 years, it has been the only way for the mainland to enter Lincang, Yunnan.
