Qingpu is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the open area on the south side of the valley faces the wide valley of the Yarlung Zangbo River. The view is very impressive. Because it lives deep in the mountains, and the streams are gurgling and the vegetation is dense, the Qingpu practice site has no severe cold in winter and hot summer in summer, and the climate is mild all year round. It is a place with good scenery and climate. The reason why this place is regarded as a sacred place for self-cultivation and enlightenment. Jihu, Lianhuasheng and other eminent monks practiced here successively, leaving many holy relics.

At the end of the pre-expansion period of Tibetan Buddhism, many scriptures were buried here, and many excavators in the early post-explosion period excavated here. Therefore, Qingpu and Samye Monastery are both famous. Tibetans think that if you go to Samye Monastery but do not go to Qingpu, you have not been to Samye. According to legend, there were 108 practice caves, 108 celestial burial platforms and 108 divine springs in the mountains of the Qingpu practice site.

Now Qingpu still has many ascetics who come from afar to practice here, and its scale is equivalent to a small village. Many Tibetans and even tourists regard this place as a holy place because there are practitioners who live here despite hardships and hardships.
