Qingquan Hot Spring is located on the bank of Shangping River, Taoshan Village, Wufeng Township, Hsinchu County. It is the settlement of the Atayal and Saisiyats. It was developed in 1913. It was exclusively used by the Japanese police on the Aiyong Line, so it was called "Inoue Hot Spring". Known as "Trying Bath in Qingquan", it is one of the eight scenic spots in Hsinchu.
Tourists who come to Qingquan Hot Spring can go through two suspension bridges. The first suspension bridge leads to the tribal market in the mountain, while the second drop bridge leads directly to Qingquan Hot Spring. They can also take the Dalu Forest Road along the way to experience the charming style of Hsinchu tourism.
Qingquan Hot Spring has several outlets, with an average temperature of about 48 degrees Celsius. It is a colorless and odorless neutral carbonic acid spring.
Qingquan Catholic Church is a magnificent church in the Qingquan area. Father Ding Songqing came to Qingquan in 1976 and began his career as a priest. With his love and perseverance, and his artist qualities, the Catholic Church has become a garden of religion and folk culture. This unique church is the artistic, spiritual and cultural center of the village.
The church is equipped with colored inlaid glass designed by Father Ding, and the walls are also covered with murals and woodcuts with the theme of local ethnic minorities. Qingquan Catholic Church has become a tourist attraction in Qingquan area.
