Qipan Ancient Road is located in the north of Baogukou, at the foot of Jitouguan Mountain at the southern end of the original Baoxie plank road. Because Baoxie Road was in disrepair for a long time, it was diverted during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It climbed from the north of the gate to the south, surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the snake path lined up. From the depression to the top of the mountain, the road twists and turns and circles seven times in total. It passes through Jitou Mountain and descends to Baocheng, so it is called Qipanguan. Because the seven ancient roads circle seven turns and people walk like snakes, it was listed as one of the "Twenty-Four Scenic Spots of Baogu" by Wang Wanxiang, a literati in the Qing Dynasty.
