The basic exhibition "A Narrative of the Nenjiang Civilization—Exhibition of Qiqihar Historical Relics" was officially launched in August 2006. The exhibition tells the history of Qiqihar from a comprehensive perspective of time, from the Paleolithic Age, Neolithic Age, Bronze Age, and Early Iron Age, through Tang, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing, late to modern times, until the founding of New China, It covers the essence of Qiqihar's history and culture for more than 20,000 years. The old site of the Heilongjiang Military Supervision Office is an important part of the Qiqihar Museum. It is the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units (No. 16897-1689-5-082), with a construction area of ​​1214 square meters. One year (1806 A.D.), the vice capital's private residence was built, also known as the adult's mansion. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Cheng Dequan, the acting governor of Heilongjiang, started to build it on this basis, and Zhou Shumo was appointed as the governor to build it later. During the Anti-Japanese War, it used to be the command post of General Ma Zhanshan Jiangqiao Anti-Japanese War. The basic exhibition "Memory of the Republic of China—Restored Exhibition of the Heilongjiang Military Governor's Office" was officially exhibited on May 18, 2017.

Qiqihar Museum (Qiqihar Art Museum) was officially opened on November 22, 2016. The exhibition hall covers an area of ​​400 square meters. It holds and receives professional art, calligraphy and photography exhibitions all year round.
