Qudeng Nima means "the pagoda and the sun". According to legend, when the pagoda transported from India passed the mountain pass here, the sun happened to shine on it, so it got such a wonderful name. Qudeng Nyima Scenic Spot is located in Gangba County, Shigatse Prefecture. According to Tibetan scriptures, in the middle of the eighth century A.D., the Indian monk Padmasambhava was invited by Tubo Zanpu Chisong Dezan to spread esoteric Buddhism in Tibet, and passed by Qudeng on his way back to India. Nima practiced in the caves at the foot of the Domyomqin and Kangqin Jiabu Snow Mountains in Gamba County. A local shepherd worshiped him as a teacher and learned Esoteric Buddhism. Soon, the Shepherd's Tower, the Shepherd's Tower, and the King's Tower were built, named "Duoji Qudeng Nima", which means Diamond Sun Tower. Later, people used to call it Qudeng Nima.

The spring mouth of Qudengnimashen Lake is extremely high, reaching an altitude of 5128 meters. These springs gushed out of the ground after ten years and seven months of circulation in the mountain, carrying rich minerals.
