Qulong Temple is one of the early temples of the Gelug Sect. In 1393, the 36-year-old founder of the Gelug Sect, Master Tsongkhapa, "led a total of nine disciples to Woka Cholong for meditation" to promote the Gelug Sect. Law. At that time, Zongben Tashi Lunzhu of Wokazong voluntarily became the benefactor of the nine masters and apprentices because he believed in Buddhism. Zongben strongly demanded that a dojo be built for the nine masters and apprentices who practiced in the cave. So under the consent of Master Tsongkha, a scripture hall with a length of 14 cubits and a width of 11 cubits was built. The scripture hall remained the same until 1969. This is the situation when Qulong Temple was first built.

Later, "Master worshiped the thirty-five Buddhas and repented. His hands, feet, and fingers were all broken, and the hands, feet and head marks were ground on the stone. Then he made a mandala offering on a relatively large square stone plate with strong roots. Wrist grinding test, both wrists were injured, and the stone mill was turned very smoothly." These two stones were enshrined in the temple by his disciples, and the remains are still there today, becoming the treasure of the temple. From then on, Master Tsongkhapa took Qulong Temple as his foothold to teach the Gelugpa teachings in the Woka area.
