Hongshilin National Geological Park is a very distinctive karst landform, located in Guzhang County, Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture. The Red Stone Forest used to be the bottom of the Ordovician period. Later, under the erosion of sea water and rain, a unique karst landform was formed, and the red color formed by iron-containing elements has the feeling of Danxia landform.

After tourists enter the scenic spot, what they see in front of them is the colorful and graceful stone forest with strange peaks. There are also canyons, streams, clear springs, carpet-like lawns, and ancient wisteria flowers in the stone forest, which complement the stone forest and look like a natural garden. . Some of the red pinnacles protrude like humps, some are like galloping horses, and there are various stone walls, caves, flying stones, natural bridges and other scenery.

The Red Stone Forest is hidden in the valley of western Hunan. The traffic is not very convenient, and there is no direct public transportation. Most tourists will charter a car to the scenic spot in Furong Town, and return to Furong Town on the same day after the tour.
