Rencuo Lake is located in Guoguan Township, Basu County, with an altitude of 4430 meters. "Rencuo" means a mountain lake. One side of the lake is relatively open, and the rest is backed by mountains. Rencuo is about 2.5 kilometers long, with an average width of 1.2 kilometers and an area of 3.7 square kilometers. The depth of the lake can reach more than 8 meters. Since the lake water comes from snow-capped mountains and ice peaks, the water source is abundant and clear and transparent all year round. The fish resources in the lake are very rich and there are many birds.
