Rongbuk Monastery, the full name of which is "Rongbudong Aqulin Temple Ladducha", is located at the end of the Rongbuk Glacier at the foot of Mount Everest, at an altitude of 5,150 meters.

The entire temple is built on the mountain, with a total of 5 floors, and only two floors are still in use. The temple is divided into two parts, the old and the new. The old temple is close to Mount Everest. The temple contains the practice cave where Guru Rinpoche used to practice in meditation, as well as stones and pagodas with the hand and foot prints of Guru Rinpoche. The new temple was built in 1902, with a nunnery under it. From the temple to the south, it is a good place to watch Mount Everest, especially the Manidui and White Pagoda at the gate of the temple, which are often taken by tourists as the prospect of shooting Mount Everest.
