Ruilijiang is called Nanmaojiang in Dai language, which means "river shrouded in white mist". Because it is called Mengmao in Ruili Dai language, it is also called Mengmao River, and it was also called Luchuan River in history.
The Ruili River is 53 kilometers long and 100-200 meters wide in Ruili. The dams on both sides of the river are flat, the land is rich and fertile, and the climate is warm and humid. It is a very rich land of fish and rice for the Dai family.
