Fucheng City Ruins is a large-scale ancient city ruins by the Qinghai Lake. The site is slightly square, 220 meters long from east to west, 200 meters wide from north to south, and the city wall is 12 meters high and 17 meters wide. It is basically well preserved. There is a city gate with a width of 10 meters on the south wall. From the gate in the city, there is a central axis to the west. On both sides of the central axis, there are two rows of raised house foundations with a length of 50 meters and a width of 35 meters. There is a small square city on the west side of the city, 70 meters long from east to west, 68 meters wide from north to south, and the city gate faces east. There is a 15-meter-long and 9-meter-high earth platform between Xiaofang City and the south city wall. There are house ruins on the platform. There are streets in the city. There used to be a rectangular outline around the ancient city, but now there is only the outer outline of the south wall, which is more than 1,400 meters long, and its height is only uplifted from the ground. The other three sides of the outline were all destroyed by the washing of the river.
According to legend, Futeng City was built by Fu Lianchou, king of Tuyuhun in the Northern Wei Dynasty, with a history of more than 1,500 years. At that time, the Northern Wei Dynasty named Fu Lianchou the general who conquered the west, the founder of Xihai County, and built a city here. In 540 A.D., Kwalu, the son of Fulianchou, established a feudal kingdom in the history of Qinghai—Tuyuhun Kingdom here, and set Fuqicheng as its capital. There is such a record in the history books: "Kwaluli, who was originally named Khan, lived in Fucheng. It is thirteen miles west of Qinghai. Although there is a city outline, it does not live." The Fucheng site has a special shape and an important geographical location. , it is of great significance to the study of the cultural connection between the Tuyuhun nationality and the Central Plains Han nationality and the history of the Tuyuhun nationality.
