The ancient trail is divided into two sections. The first half is from Moyoukeng, Yingxiongpo, Moku Cave to Huihuiling. The terrain is steep and very challenging; the second half is from Moyoukeng, Wangtianya to Huihuiling. Newly rebuilt in the 20th century, this section of the trail is relatively gentle, and the ecology is more diverse. It is known as the essence of observing the ecology of the Ruitai Ancient Trail.
