The Senmusim Thousand-Buddha Caves are about 40 kilometers northeast of Kuqa County. They are distributed on the cliffs of the Kurukdage Pass and the east and west banks of the creek. Most of the caves have been destroyed, and there are currently 52 relatively complete ones. Most of the caves are Zhiti caves, and there are few Vikeluo caves. It was created around the 3rd century, and most of the murals belong to the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and the later ones belong to the early Uighur Gaochang period.
