Sangga Fangtuo Temple is located in Luozha County and was built by the famous ascetic monk Milarepa in the tenth year of Xining (107) in the Northern Song Dynasty. According to records, at first his teacher Marpa asked him to build a triangular house, and after repairing most of it, he was ordered to demolish it. Then he was asked to build a semi-circular house, and when it was about to be completed, Marpa ordered it to be demolished. After several demolition and repairs, the existing tower-style buildings were built. The original height was 9 floors, and the existing 7 floors. Later, Milarepa had many disciples, and gradually formed the Kagyu sect all over Tibet, and Sangga Fangtuo Temple was also built into a large-scale temple. There are ancient hand-copied scriptures in the temple, which are quite precious.
