Sanhaiyan is one of the ancient "eight sceneries" of Lingshan, located in the campus of Lingshan Middle School. In the past, Lingshan belonged to Guangdong. Therefore, Sanhaiyan has been known as "the scenic spot in western Guangdong" since ancient times.
In the second year of Song Zhiping (1065), Tao Bi, the governor of Lingzhou in Guangxi and the magistrate of Qinzhou, came to Lingshan to explore the secluded place, and named it Sanhaiyan after taking the meaning of the "three changes" of the ancient Canghai. There are vines and snails outside Sanhai Rock, banyan pines twist and turn, and Yingluo Bird Crossing. The whole cave is like a covered tripod. There are three caves inside Qianyan, Guiyan and Yueyan. The stalactites in the rock are full of deep and strange. The climate is pleasant, and there is the victory of "there are no three-month periods in June, and there are four seasons in one day". There are 138 cliff carvings preserved on the rock wall, among which the preface of "Guo Ling Shan Shu Huai" inscribed by Yue Lin, the son of Yue Fei, a famous anti-gold general, is quite well preserved. These stone carvings have quite high historical value and artistic appreciation. value. In front of the rock, there is the Zuyin Pavilion built by Baiyu, the general of the Ming Dynasty, and behind the rock is the Haiyan Pavilion. Sanhaiyan was designated as the fourth batch of cultural relics protection units in Guangxi in 1996.
