Sanhuangzhai is a natural cottage hanging on the mountainside of Shaoshi. The whole scenic spot is steep and slippery, with a flat and wide top. It is famous in the Central Plains for its strange peaks, dangerous roads, strange stones and beautiful scenery. There are lush forests and various types; the geological types are complete, the rock age is ancient, the configuration is peculiar, and the development is complete. Within a limited range, you can see a variety of landforms in the five geological ages of Archaean, Ancient, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Neozoic. It is called "Natural Geological Museum" by geologists.
Sanhuangzhai was named because people commemorate the pioneering work of the ancestor Sanhuang in the Songshan area. Walking through the temples and palaces of Songshan Mountain, only the gods worshiped here are separated from the three religions, and the ancestors are the ancestors, and they are worshiped devoutly. The main cultural landscapes in the scenic area include Lotus Temple, Qingwei Palace, Anyang Palace, Sanhuang Temple, Yuhuang Temple, etc. There are dozens of natural landscapes such as Haohanpo, Longji Gorge, Tiger Rock, Camel Rock, Elephant Gate Pass, Suspension Bridge, Sanxian Stone, Thousand Buddhas Welcome, and Hanging Plank Road.
Sanhuangzhai is very suitable for visiting in late autumn. The red leaf forest of more than 20 square kilometers in this scenic spot blooms one after another. The golden wind is refreshing, the sky is bright and the air is clear; the mountain road is curved, the stream is gurgling; the forests are all dyed, and the red clouds are shining.
