Sanmao Dream House is a red brick hut located in Qingquan Tribe, Wufeng Township. The famous Taiwanese writer San Mao rented here for three years (1983-1986) as her "dream house" away from the world of mortals from time to time. Sanmao likes this place very much. Whenever she lives here, her serious depression and insomnia problems are all gone. She once said, "Here, there is no sorrow, only peace." Today, Sanmao Dream House is managed by a volunteer who lives in Taipei. You can sit on a wooden chair in the courtyard and enjoy a cup of coffee. All the coffee and homestay expenses sold here are donated to the nearby Taoyuan Primary School.
