The site of the Baoan Revolution is located in Zhidan County, Yan'an City. On June 21, 1936, the CCP left Wayaobao and settled in Baoan. Since then, it has become the second "red capital" after Ruijin, Jiangxi. On January 10, 1937, the CCP left Bao'an and then entered Yan'an. Zhidan County played an extremely important role in the Chinese Revolutionary War, so it is also known as the foothold of the Red Army's Long March and the starting point of the Anti-Japanese War.

The great CCP has made many revolutionary achievements here: formed the anti-Japanese united front; announced the victory of the Long March; arranged to receive American journalist Edgar Snow and doctor Ma Haide, and made "Westward Journey" public; The correct policy of the incident resolved the crisis of the civil war; opened the Red Army University... and so on.
