Sewu Temple is located in Sewugou, Labupu Township, Nanmulin County, Shigatse, Tibet, 70 kilometers away from the county seat, with an altitude of 4,500 meters.

The temple has a history of thousands of years, believes in the Nyingma sect, and the main worship Buddha is Master Padmasambhava. In 1984, the Sutra hall and nine halls were restored on the ruins of the original temple, where there are three Buddhas, master and disciple of Padmasambhava. There are 16 treasures in the temple, including the three statues of Padmasambhava unearthed from Terzang Valley by Shiquni Nangdan, the shoes of Karmapa, the vajra of Dakini Yixi Gyatso, the black stone, the right-handed Conch shells, the right handprints left by Master Padmasambhava on the stone, etc. There are three meditation rooms and practice caves on the palm mountain in the north of the temple. Every year from December 22nd to 30th in the Tibetan calendar, the temple holds a ceremony of dancing gods and exorcising ghosts.
