The Shandan County Museum is the Alley Donated Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall, located in the Wenhua Street of Shandan County. In 1980, Rewi Alley decided to donate all the nearly 4,000 cultural relics he had collected in China for more than 50 years to Shandan County. In order to commemorate the outstanding contribution of this international friend and display the donated historical relics, Gansu Province allocated 49.3 10,000 yuan to build the Alley Donated Cultural Relics Memorial Hall, which was completed in two phases.

The museum covers an area of 4,100 square meters, of which the building area is 1,400 square meters. It is a building that combines Chinese and Western styles with a national style. The layout plane presents a courtyard style, with a construction area of 1116 square meters. It is divided into six exhibition rooms as a whole, displaying Rewi Alley's life (pictures and objects), cultural relics donated by Alley and cultural relics unearthed in Shandan, totaling more than 5,100 pieces. The cultural relics in the exhibition hall are rich in content and have a long history, covering various historical periods from the Stone Age to the founding of New China. Treasures such as the bronze statue of Hu Tengwu in the Tang Dynasty and the unique copy of "The Unification of the Qing Dynasty for Thousand Years" have high research value and appreciation value.
