Shangdang Gate is located at the north end of Fupo Street, West Street, Changzhi City. It was the gate of the ancient Shangdang County Office (later Lu'an Mansion Office), and is now the symbol and symbol of Changzhi. Shangdang was known as Shangdang in Yin and Shang Dynasties, Shangdang County was set up in Qin Dynasty, and the county office was moved from Changzi County to Changzhi City. Shangdang Gate was built in the Kaihuang period of Sui Dynasty. When Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, was appointed as the Biejia of Luzhou, he built a large number of construction projects in the government office, adding Feilong Palace and Defeng Pavilion. In its prosperity, there were more than 280 pavilions and palaces. During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, it was destroyed by war. In the third year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1370), the gate of Shangdang Gate was rebuilt, and the Bell and Drum Tower was added later.
From north to south, the Shangdang gate seat has a glazed screen wall and a gate (also known as a gate) in order of architectural layout. The hall and the east and west wing rooms, Feilong Palace, Defeng Pavilion, Office Court, Yingchun Terrace and other buildings. The combination of pavilions, halls, palaces and groups, the heights are scattered, and the scale is grand. Now only the gate, the second floor of the bell and drum, the second hall of the mansion, and the office yard are left. The gate and the second floor of the bell and drum are arranged in parallel, the platform base is high, the master and the slave are different, and they are well arranged. The gate is three rooms wide and four rafters deep. The door is opened in the open room, and the fan wall is built with green bricks twice. The roof is gray and gray, and it is decorated with simple board tiles. On the second floor of the bell and drum, there are battlements, coupon holes, and footpaths built of blue bricks, and attics are built on the top. On the bell tower on the right is a plaque saying "Wind Chi", and on the drum tower on the left is a plaque writing "Cloud Movement" to show the meaning of towering into the clouds. The bell and drum towers on the outside are in contrast, the brackets are dense, and the ridges and beasts are gorgeous, which complement the gate.
