Located in Xiaonan Street, Zhangye City, it was built by Shanxi Hakkas Zhao Shigui, Zhao Jiyu, Zhang Chaoshu, etc. in the eighth year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1730).

Zhangye is an important town where commerce and trade gathered on the ancient Silk Road. Merchants from Shanxi, Shaanxi and other places have opened dozens of large shops in Zhangye. The temple built in the second year of Yongzheng was rebuilt into the Shanxi Guild Hall, and the construction costs were all donated by merchants.

The guild hall integrates palace buildings and folk buildings, forming a courtyard group that is undulating, open and closed, dense and dense, and well-arranged. Arranged in sequence along an axis, such as the mountain gate, the stage (upper and lower floors, the upper part is the platform, the lower part is the passage), the grandstand (the upper part is the platform, the lower part is the corridor), the archway, the bell tower, the main hall, the back building and so on. Strange shape, majestic dignified. Palaces and pavilions, garden flowers and trees make the whole building colorful. Exquisite wood carvings, stone carvings, colored paintings, and clay sculptures are all over the museum and complement each other.

All the buildings are well preserved except the accompanying hall, which has been demolished. Before liberation, a private Sanjin primary school was set up. After liberation, it was properly protected and repaired many times, and was promulgated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit. Now it is the resident of Zhangye Cultural Center.
