Shaoche Lake, originally called Beida Lake, is the second largest among the many lakes in Baiyang Lake, about 5 kilometers east of Anxin County. Legend has it that this was once the place where Yang Liulang, a famous general of the Song Dynasty, burned the soldiers of the Liao Dynasty.
