Yanghu Lake is located at the junction of northern Tibet and Xinjiang, with an area of nearly 100 square kilometers and an altitude of 4788m. It is an inland alkaline lake type. The Quaternary sediments at the edge of the lake are extremely productive, which provides a basis for studying the formation and evolution of Yanghu Lake.
