Shenheyuan is located on the north slope of the main ridge of Daba Mountain at the junction of Langao County and Chengkou County of Chongqing City, 47 kilometers away from the county seat. The scenic spot is dominated by Kanda Grassland, Bashan Autumn Pond, and Chaoyang Cave. It is a forest park that integrates mountains, water, forests, springs, and caves. The total area is 8,000 hectares, the altitude is 1,700m lower, the highest altitude is 2,549m, the average sunshine is 1,559 hours, the average annual rainfall is 1,000.9mm, the average temperature is 15°C, the frost-free period is 242 days, the four seasons are distinct, the summer is green grass, the wild flowers are full of mountains, and the grass is matted. Sitting, camping in tents, leisurely and romantic; surrounded by red leaves in autumn, the grass is golden, rolling and magnificent; winter and spring are covered with snow and wrapped in silver. The forest vegetation coverage rate reaches over 98%, the negative oxygen ions are abundant, and the air purity is extremely high. It is one of the rare primitive natural areas in the world today.
Kanda Grassland is an alpine meadow in Daba Mountain. The soil is mainly alpine meadow soil, the soil is slightly acidic to neutral, and part of the soil has permafrost. So there are no tall shrubs here, and the grass that grows is not eaten by cattle and sheep. More than 20 scenic spots have been opened. The 99 bends of Kanda Grassland and the 99 hills of Kanda Grassland have created the following scenic spots: Bashan Longji, Flower Pond, Yunya Cave, Fairy Throwing Hydrangea, Hundred Birds Facing the Phoenix, Ink Pond, and Yang Yuchun's Counting Mountain .
