Shenza Nature Reserve is located near Shenza County, Naqu, and was established in 1993. This is a paradise for birds. There are more than 120 kinds of birds living here, and the scene is extremely spectacular. This is the highest and largest black-necked crane protection area and breeding ground in my country.

Shenzha County is located 600 kilometers west of Nagqu Town in Nagqu Prefecture. The county seat is located at the foot of the mountain, with Jiagang Snow Mountain to the west and Gerencuo to the northwest. A swamp between the towns of Geren Co County is part of the Shenzha Black-necked Crane Breeding Nature Reserve, where hundreds of black-necked cranes nest here every spring and summer.

Shenzha is located in Tibet, and there are many lakes in its territory. It is said that "nine lakes surround the county". The wetlands in Shenzha are the main part of the wetlands in the northern Tibetan plateau. Large tracts of plateau wetlands have basically maintained their original state, and they have well preserved many endangered and rare wildlife species resources.

The main vegetation in the wetland is composed of alpine grassland, alpine meadow, alpine river beach algae, swamp and aquatic vegetation; the common birds in the wetland include Mediterranean gull, group-headed eagle, red shelduck, black-necked crane and so on.

There are more than 120 species of birds living in Shenza Nature Reserve, including 29 species of first- and second-class birds protected by the state, such as black-necked cranes, yellow ducks, and swans. From July to August every year, countless birds dance here, and the scene is extremely spectacular.
