Shouyang Mountain is located 34 kilometers southeast of Weiyuan County. It is also known as Lianfeng Mountain because it is surrounded by nine peaks and shaped like a lotus. Shouyang Mountain is a religious resort on the ancient Silk Road. There are nine independent peaks in the scenic area, including Dashan, Ertai, Santai, Sitai, Wutai, Houwutai, Huangdong, Shajia Temple and Laojun Mountain, with cliffs and cliffs in different shapes. It reached its peak in the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were 34 ancient architectural complexes with more than 200 rooms. The sculptures and paintings are lifelike, and it is a treasure house of art. Since ancient times, Shouyang Mountain has attracted many tourists with its wonderful natural scenery and rich cultural landscape. When Yangxuhou Mawu of the Eastern Han Dynasty conquered the Western Qiang, he once stationed troops on this mountain. On the mountainside, there is a thousand-year-old pine surrounded by several people. It is said that it is Mawu's hanging whip tree. Longyou Wang Shixian, the commander-in-chief of Gongchang Prefecture in the Yuan Dynasty, used this place as a place for sightseeing and vacation. After the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many celebrities, poets, officials and hermits cultivated their moral character here, chanted books, and left many chapters. Today, Shouyang Mountain receives tens of thousands of tourists every year, and will become a more attractive tourist attraction.
