The main peak, Snow Mountain, is 3886 meters above sea level, the second in Taiwan. peak. Because the snow is as white as jade under the sunlight, it is named "Snow Mountain".
Every November, when the cold snap comes, snowflakes can be seen dancing on the top of the mountain, and in mid-winter, the ice is hard and the snow is thick. Among the mountains and cliffs, a string of icicles are like upside-down swords and halberds, sharp, bright, and majestic. On the north side of the peak of the snow mountain, there is a giant ice cirque about 1000 meters long and 600 meters wide. In winter, the ice cirque is full of snow, and it is very spectacular to see the engraving of silver and jade from a distance, and it has become a unique symbol of the snow mountain.
