After visiting the place, Hong Liangji of the Qing Dynasty wrote "Song of Ten Thousand Pines in Pine Tree Pond": "Thousands of peaks and ten thousand peaks are on the same peak, and the peaks are all cut and erected without velvet. Thousands of pines and ten thousand pines are on the same pine, and there is no answer for thousands of stories. Curious and crazy people suddenly come here , laughing and shouting, forgetting to die. Seeing the horseshoe driving in front of the peak, I want to stop at the end of the green pine."
In ancient times, post stations and beacon towers were set up here. Sima Renshang of the Han Dynasty, and Jiang Xingben of the Tang Dynasty made great military exploits here, as evidenced by a stele nearby.
Now in the peak tourist season of Songshutang, colorful flags are fluttering, tourists are weaving, "knights" are galloping on the lawn, there are countless men and women climbing mountains in the mountains, and melodious singing comes from the colorful Kazakh yurts. Songshutang is now the site of the Yiwu Army Horse Farm. The yellow-rumped red deer raised on the farm are of great economic and tourist value.
In recent years, the National Sports Commission has taken advantage of the superior ice and snow climate resources and ideal slope conditions to build an alpine skiing and skating rink on the northwest side of Songshutang. In winter, Songshu Pond has become a paradise for ice and snow athletes.
