During the period of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Yan'an, the South District Cooperative was established in December 1936. The South District Cooperative has made great contributions to the development of the economy of the border area and the solution of the people's livelihood in Yan'an. The museum uses a large number of physical objects and texts, books, and photos to reflect the development of the cooperatives in the southern district.
Liulin Village still retains the 16-hole stone cave dwelling and the two-storey brick-and-timber structure of the Southern District Cooperative. The stone kiln is an office building, and the small building is a business building. The brick pillars on both sides of the ground floor of the small building are engraved with: "Development of economic cooperation must be done", "Promotion of democratic workers and farmers", and the wooden plaque in the middle reads "South District Cooperative Headquarters of Yan'an County".
