In 1936, the Fourth Army of the Red Army of Workers and Peasants of China established the Lintan Soviet Government here, which became the military headquarters of the Fourth Red Army during the Long March and the meeting place of the Northwest Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
It was originally the official residence of the "King Guizhang" of Tubo Gusiluo in the Northern Song Dynasty. Kublai Khan, the ancestor of the Yuan Dynasty, went south to attack Dali, Yunnan, and stayed here. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the Temple of the Town God. This is the well-protected ancient building in Lintan County so far, and it retains the magnificent and gorgeous legacy of ancient Chinese architecture.
The site covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters. The mountain gate stands on a 4-meter-high red sandstone platform, with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain, eaves with flying wings, overlapping bucket arches, and exquisite flower squares. The mountain gate is connected to the stage, and the structure is complicated and integrated. The courtyard is a two-story listening theater, and the main hall is in the north of the courtyard. It is also the top of the mountain with double eaves, flower windows and doors, and is five rooms wide. The overall structure is solemn and magnificent. There are corridors, harem and other ancillary buildings on both sides and behind the main hall, which are compact and reasonable in layout.
