Stone Village is located on Biandan Mountain in Zhenning County, Southwest Guizhou. The stockade is built on the mountain, and all the houses are made of stone. The stone houses are layered on top of each other, and the layout is orderly, full of ethnic characteristics. Stone village is called "Banbosen" in the local Buyi language, which means "backed by stone mountains, living in stone houses for generations". The landscape is the stone dwellings. It uses stones as walls, stones as corridors, stones as pillars, and stones as tiles. The stone houses are stacked on top of each other along the hillside from bottom to top. There are also stone benches, chairs and tables placed under the bamboo forests and trees beside the village for rest and entertainment. Even the roads in the village are paved with stone slabs. The owners of the stone house are all Bouyei people, and the men in the family are all ingenious stonemasons. The craftsmanship has been passed down from generation to generation. They design and build houses by themselves, and live and work in peace and contentment. Stone village is also the hometown of batik. More than 80% of the women in the village can make batik cloth. From the quilts of newborn children, to the quilts of young people's weddings, to the shrouds and shoes of deceased old people, all are made of batik cloth, which can be called the world of batik cloth. Interestingly, here, visitors can directly participate, design and operate by themselves, and make their own batik.
