Sugong Pagoda, also known as Emin Pagoda, is an Islamic tower with a novel and unique shape. The exterior is made of gray-yellow bricks. Except for the top window lattice, basically no wood is used. The body of the tower is round and cylindrical, shrinking gradually from bottom to top. The base diameter is 10 meters, the top diameter is 2.8 meters, the tower height is 37 meters, and there are 14 windows around for ventilation and lighting. It is the largest ancient pagoda in Xinjiang. Sugong Pagoda was built in 1778 and has a history of more than 230 years. It was built by Eminhe Zhuo, the king of Turpan County, a famous general of the Qing Dynasty. In order to repay the kindness of the Qing Dynasty, express his piety to Allah, and make his life's achievements famous to future generations, he built it out of 7000 taels of silver. The tower has been listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in recent years, and there is an endless stream of people who come here to visit and worship every year. The Sugong Tower Mosque adjacent to Sugong Pagoda is one of the largest Islamic mosques in Xinjiang. It has a spacious interior, solemn and simple architecture, and can accommodate thousands of people to do Naimaz.
