Sun Li (May 11, 1913-July 11, 2002), formerly known as Sun Shuxun, was born in Anping, Hengshui City, Hebei Province. He is a famous modern and contemporary novelist and essayist, and the founder of the "Hehuadian School".

On July 11, 2002, after Sun Li passed away, the People's Government of Anxin County built the Sun Li Memorial Hall in the Grand View Garden of the Lotus Sun Li Memorial Hall in Baiyangdian.

The memorial hall is an antique building of a courtyard house, facing south from the north. In the middle of the main entrance is a plaque of "Sun Li Memorial Hall" inscribed by the poet He Jingzhi. At the south end of the memorial hall is a wooden stele pavilion with six columns. In the middle of the stele pavilion is a white marble stele, and on the front is the inscription "Sun Li, the founder of the Lotus Lake School". There is a wooden archway on the central axis, and a plaque written by Sun Li "Da Dao Di Hui" is hung in the center of the archway.

Between the archway and the exhibition hall is a 3.3-meter-high white marble statue of Sun Li in a sitting posture. The main hall of Sun Li Memorial Hall is the main exhibition hall, which is divided into seven parts, showing his life and creation.
