The word taiga originally comes from Russian, and the term now refers to boreal forests in the cold temperate zone. In the cold temperate zone of the northern hemisphere, taiga forests are spread all over North America and northern Eurasia, forming a vast expanse of forest sea, which constitutes the largest forest ecosystem in the world.

The taiga forest is dominated by coniferous trees such as Siberian spruce, Siberian red pine, Siberian fir and Siberian larch, among which the first three are only distributed in the Altai Mountains in my country. The taiga forest is the main factor for Kanas Nature Reserve to maintain ecological integrity and protect the environment. Because of its existence, the various animals and plants in the area can continue to flourish from generation to generation. Once the taiga forest is destroyed, the wild animals and plants in the area that rely on forests as living conditions will lose their suitable habitats, resulting in the reduction and disappearance of species, and affecting various subsystems such as meadows, grasslands, glaciers, and lake water bodies stability, resulting in deterioration of the environment and regional climate.
